Who pays for hospital bills

I know its weird asking this question, but do you or your partner pay the hospital bills for giving birth? My partner and I are not married so we have not discussed our financials regarding this. #advicepls

I pay for my own check up and scan bills, but my partner always find ways to help cover other expenses such as mom2baby insurance, house installment (only under my name) and daily expenses.
