Went for my Chek up yesterday and the said my urine contains Ketons and its causing the baby to grow big than the expected rate. But the blood test they did was normal please l need your help l don't wanna lose my baby
High ketones could mean you’re not eating or drinking well, or the other case is in diabetes. I had high urine ketones when I was dehydrated from vomiting. And ketones don’t make your baby big, as far as I know. But if you have gestational diabetes, then yes, that can make your baby grow bigger, and also cause other problems. My ketone problem was solved when I drank more water.
Would be good to clarify with your gynae about the cause for your high ketones and how it affects your baby. In the meantime, take good care of yourself, and hopefully, everything will become normal the next time you test your urine:)
