My sister gave birth recently and her newborn son's cord stump has fallen off. It had a little greenish slime and tints of blood around it. Is it normal? I remember my kids used to have a dry navel when the stump fell off.

On some ocassions, navel with a fallen cord stump can have remnants that haven't compeletely dried. Tinges of blood can also be normal, but if it bleeds uncontrollably for minutes or hours, call the pedia right away
