Is it ok to give 4 meals of porridge to lessen breastfeeding? My baby is 8 months old.

Hi, I do not think it is a good idea to feed baby more food to lessen breastfeed. But, yes if baby feels hungry then you have to give food or milk to the baby. But I think eight month is very young to feed the baby porridge instead of milk. But if the potion is not too much like if you are not stuffing the child and giving it in moderation then it is fine.

Hi, Yes, four meals of porridge is fine, but make sure that you give small potions because apart from porridge your baby must be eating other things as well also. I mean by now you must be giving him a slice of a fruits or a biscuit or soup,, milk etc. So, I think three meals of porridge would be fine. Four too would do but the potions must be small.
