My bb was 3.4kg at birth. And 2 days ago, at week 7, went to polyclinic and she was weighing 3.1kg. It's a weight drop. Should I be worried? Or supplement bb ? The nurse says it's OK and her weight will gradually increase.

Has your baby been ill? If your baby is recovering from some illness, it could contribute to a lower weight. Another factor could be that your baby is going through a growth spurt. These could cause fluctuations in weight of a baby. The main worry behind slower weight gain is that the baby may not be getting enough to eat. Here are some signs that your baby may need more milk: - baby continues to lose weight - baby has small and dark stools - dark coloured urine - baby is often fussy and lethargic - rarely hearing your baby swallowing while nursing - your breast don’t feel softer after nursing For more details, you can refer to this article: http://sg.theasianparent.com/is-your-baby-getting-enough-milk/ Continue to track your baby's weight and speak to your doctor if you are worried. Take care, have plenty of rest and water. Eat well so that your baby could also benefit from the nutrients she is getting from your breast milk. Don't worry too much!
