Hi there, Babies usually start to sit up with support between 4 to 5 months. By around 6 months, many can sit independently for short periods. Neck strength develops over time, and by 4 to 5 months, your baby's neck muscles should be strong enough to support their head when sitting with help. To know if your baby is ready for solids, look for these signs: 1. They can sit up with minimal support. 2. They have good head control. 3. They show interest in food, like reaching out or opening their mouth when you eat. 4. They lose the tongue-thrust reflex, which pushes food out of their mouth. If you're planning to introduce solids, start with small amounts of pureed food and gradually increase the variety. Don't forget to keep breastfeeding or formula-feeding as the main source of nutrition until they are at least one year old.
