Playpen topper

I have a Graco playpen from my older son which my newborn is using now. The mattress that comes with it is slightly bent from use, is a platform topper mattress recommended for a newborn that young? My newborn is 2 weeks old. Mothercare in my country is sold out for the mattress pad now. Any opinions and advices would be highly recommended.
