Tulsi and ginger are rich in antioxidants. However, you must remember that teas contain caffeine and you should stick to 2-3 cups a day. Also it is advisable to drink a cup after breastfeeding, instead of before, to ensure that the caffeine doesn't enter your breast milk. Excess caffeine can make you child fussy and cause sleep problems. Also you can try those herbal teas, most of them are caffeine-free, but always read the label before buying.

of course you can, but i would suggest you have the fresh brew made at home without the tea leaves. you can simply boil water with a handful of fresh mint leaves and grated ginger. add a tsp of honey to it after taking it off the flame. you can skip the honey if you don't like. have the water as it is and this will be your refreshing ginger tulsi chai, without any caffeine or nicotine.

Yes, its fine. But water is the best thirst quencher and it is also calorie-free!
