Babies should remain indoors when there is a haze. You should keep the doors and windows closed and use a fan or air-conditioning to ensure the room stays cool and comfortable. During a haze, babies require no other type of protection such as a special curtain covering their bed. It is also not safe to put a mask on a baby be it indoors or outdoors. If you are using an air purifier, make sure it is not the type that produces ozone gas which can be harmful for the baby. Exposure to the haze can be harmful and result in the following: - Itchy, watery and red eyes - Runny nose - Blocked nose - Dry irritant cough - Breathing difficulty Sneezing is often normal in babies and need not worry about this. Should any of the symptoms surface or when baby develops a rash different from normal baby rash, consult a doctor.
