Any parent here mahilig manood sa Cinemalaya Film Fest? I've heard it started today for this year. Kelan nyo hahayaan manood ang kids nyo ng Indie films?

I used to watch when I was in college and I enjoyed it. For this year it started to run last 5 August and shall end by 14 Aug. Which I think will be in her HS days and for sure, I'll see myself watching beside her or if not, will vet first the synopsis or rating of the film she's watching before I send her to the cinema. It would always be best if us parents get to check first what kind of media our child will be exposed to.

I used to watch cinemalaya entries before in CCP and yeah the film fest starts already its from August 5-14,2016 . A lot of amazing movies created by filipino film makers . I want my kids to experience cinemalaya also but not at very young age i think papayagan ko sila pag nasa teen stage na sila para mas maintindihan nila ang movie and also since its Indie uncut yung scenes and rated pg halos lahat ng movie. Im sure pag nasa saktong gulang na sya she or he will appreciate the movie and how rich our local film is .

Cinemalaya films are gold but not really kid-friendly. I think I can suggest them to my kids at around the time they can discern things very well? Not so sure about the age but I'll know when I get there. Most Cinemalaya films kasi are at least R-13 so I wouldn't really be open with the idea of introducing it earlier than that recommendation.

I will let my kids watch Cinemalaya maybe when they're around 13 or 15. Most of the indie films kase ay hindi appropriate sa kids. I'll encourage my kids to watch stage plays instead.

Maybe 18 years old. But if it is a Cinemalaya Film required in school, then I will allow my kids to watch even if they are not yet 18 years old.
